CHARACTER TRAIT FOR OCTOBER - RESPONSIBILITY

1. Fellowship of Christian Students will meet in the Media Center this Thursday, October 29th. We meet every Thursday from 6:55-7:30am. The speaker this week is Tom Tucker (Fairview Christian). All students are welcome to join! If you have any questions, speak to Ms. Renken or Coach Jones.
2. Parent-teacher conferences are on Tuesday, 10-27 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. and also on Thursday, 10-29, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. School will be dismissed at 11:40 am on Thursday, 10-29. There is No School on Friday, 10-30!
3. No Chess Club Thursday, October 29th. 
4. Interested in trying out for CJHS Basketball Cheerleading? Join us for the following open practices: Monday, October 26 | 3:30–5:00 p.m.; Monday, November 2 | 3:30–5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, November 3 | 3:30–5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 4 | 3:30–5:00 pm Important Information: Tryout results will be announced after practice on Wednesday, November 4. CJHS Cheer packets will be available at the open practices. A current physical must be on file with the school to participate. 5. The first Quiz Bowl practice is on Monday, November 2nd in room #309 from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm.  We will practice weekly afterschool on Monday from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm. Are you knowledgeable about topics such as literature, science, mathematics, current events, sports, fine arts, or history?  Quiz Bowl is a competitive and fun activity! 6. All 7th and 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball will have a meeting in Mr. McConnell’s room (310) before school at 7:30am on Tuesday, November 3rd. Tryouts start Monday November 9th at 3:30.
