   CHARACTER TRAIT FOR SEPTEMBER - RESPECT

 

  1. In recognition of International Day of Peace, we’d love to celebrate the day by spreading a little extra positivity throughout our school. On Monday, September 21st, we encourage you to wear your Peacebuilder shirt, or another shirt with a positive, uplifting, or encouraging message. Think kindness, peace, hope, joy, or anything that brings a smile and helps promote a positive message (Carthage shirts count!).  It’s a simple way for us to come together and remind one another of the importance of kindness and peace. We hope you’ll join in and help us wear our positivity!
  2. Book Club starts Monday, September 28th and will meet on the last Monday of each month from 3:15 to 4:30 in the library. See Mrs. Fultz to sign up.
  3. Travel to Amsterdam and Paris in 2028! A meeting is being held Monday, September 28th at 6:00pm in the CJHS library for all students and parents interested in educational travel. Contact Mrs. Fultz, Ms. Renken, or Mrs. Schultz for more details. 
  4. Picture Retakes will be on Thursday, 10-1.  We will call students down over the intercom.  If you would like to pay ahead of time please go to www.strawbridge.net and use Code:  FM512811. If you need a picture envelope please come to the front office.
  5. Travel to Scotland and Ireland with Coach Stringer and Mrs. Logan. Parents welcome as well as student. Informational meeting Tuesday, September 22, 5:45 PM at CIC Music Room. Don’t miss this Educational Travel experience.
  6. Drama Club will be Wednesday after school until 4:30. Students will prepare for upcoming shows, practice acting skills and play games! Anyone is welcome! We will meet in Room 135.
  7. Chess Club will be Thursday in the library from 3:15 to 4:15. Mrs. Fultz hosts open and untimed matches every Thursday. 
  8. Speech and Debate Club will be Tuesday after school and end at 4:15. Students will be preparing materials for Speech and Debate competitions. Anyone is welcome!  We will meet in Room 135.
  9. Art club will be every Monday from 3:15-4:15. We will meet in Room 136.
