CHARACTER TRAIT FOR APRIL – INTEGRITY

 

  1. 1. Carthage Jr. High Media Center - Friday, May 1st is the last day to check-out books. Friday, May 8th is the last day to turn in books. As an incentive, all students who visit the library to clear their account the week of May 4-8 will receive a Jolly Rancher as our way of saying thank you and "Have a Jolly Good Summer."  
  2. 2. Any 8th grade boys interested in playing HS football next year, there will be a meeting on Friday May 1st at 7:20am in the Media Center.
  3. 3. May 5th will be the last day of Speech and Debate Club.
  4. 4. May 13th will be the last day of Drama Club.
  5. 5. There will be a meeting for any 7th Grade girl interested in attending Girls Weights & Conditioning this summer at 7:30 before school on Friday, May 8, in the Media Center. We will pass out the summer calendar and talk about different competition opportunities this summer. See one of the Junior High girls' coaches if you have questions.  
  6. 6. CJHS cheerleading tryout clinics are May 4-6 6:00-7:30 in the main gym at CJHS. Tryouts will be held May 7. Registration must be completed.
  7. 7. CHS Cheer will have open gyms every Wednesday in April from 3:30-5:00. Tryouts will be April 27-30th. All current 8th grade students are welcome, no prior experience necessary. Pick up a tryout packet in the office for more information. Must have a current physical on file to participate!
  8. 8. There will be a wrestling meeting for all Boy's and Girl's wrestlers on May 13. The meeting will be in Mr. Brooks room during lunch. The new High School wrestling coach will meet and go over the High School Wrestling Summer Schedule. All Junior High Wrestlers need to attend.
  9. 9. Interested in finding out more about Educational Travel? Join us in the CJHS Media Center on Tuesday, May 19th at 6:30pm as Carthage students discuss their spring break 2026 experiences traveling to Ireland and Scotland with The Carthage Traveling Tigers.
  10. 10. Fewer than 40 yearbooks are available for purchase!  To order a yearbook, bring $26 to Mrs. Davis in Room 206.
